Folding moccasin-style travel slippers soleless.
Handmade in Spain with vegetable tanned leather.
Materials: Leather
These folding, moccasin-style slippers known for their comfort – easy to slip into your hand luggage to wear on long-haul flights. Available in different materials and colours, the Rodrigo's are ideal for the frequent flyer.
Our slippers are made by hand in the town of Elche (Spain) - a town of artisans recognised for quality since the nineteenth century - Elche is a place where many of the world largest luxury brands produce their footwear.
La Portegna’s leather is vegetable tanned with a unique blend of natural tannins and colour compounds from Spanish flowers and tree bark. The leather is then treated with Spanish olive oil to nourish, soften and to make it more robust.
This all-natural process has two benefits - it results in beautiful looking leather that develops a unique ‘patina’ over time – it quite literally gets better with age, and is unquestionably kinder to the environment, unlike the more commonly used chrome tanning processes.
