Our slippers are handmade in Elche (Spain) - a town of artisans renowned for its quality since the 19th century.

Instead of using a chrome-dyeing process, the Portegna leather is dyed with a unique blend of natural dyes and colors derived from flowers and tree bark. The leather is treated with olive oil to nourish, soften, and strengthen it.

Our process has two benefits over chrome dyeing: it results in a natural-looking leather that develops a unique patina over time. It improves with use and age, and is undoubtedly more environmentally friendly.
